A couple of my patients today were having a hard enough time w/chemo that we’re holding & considering whether Rx worse than disease.

    Isn’t there anything you can give your patients for their side effects? I would imagine there is anti-nausea, etc - medication to conteract the side effects. Even if the side-effects are bad - in the long run won’t these treatments save their lives?

    Wow. I guess response to chemo is very variable? My husband has had four cycles of Carboplatin and Taxol and except for lots of fatique and a slight bit of nausea, he seems to have done very well. Do we know what accounts for the variation in response?
