GRACE is very pleased to introduce a community outreach program. The goal of this program is to bring patient education events into the community for interactive discussions of cancer topics with oncology experts. In addition to GRACE events, this page will list other community patient education events where GRACE faculty are speaking.
Upcoming education events:
The Evolving Role of Molecular Markers in Managing Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer webinar
GRACE Faculty member, Dr. Nathan Pennell, will present a talk with slides on “The Evolving Role of Molecular Markers in Managing Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer”, to be followed by a question and answer session.
This event will cover the highlights of ongoing work on EGFR testing, K-Ras mutations, EML4-ALK, and also some coverage of potential markers of activity for standard chemotherapy agents.
This webinar is made possible by support from an unrestricted educational grant from Response Genetics.

2) A 51 year-old woman with extensive SCLC who had an excellent response to initial chemotherapy, now interested in consolidation chest radiation and prophylactic cranial irradiation.
3) A 29 year old never-smoker with adenocarcinoma, now responding on platinum-based chemo and Avastin. EGFR mutation test returns as positive for exon 19 deletion.
