Dr. Jeannine McCune
Dr. McCune is an oncology pharmacist and is currently is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacy at the University of Washington. She is also an Affiliate Investigator at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and the Clinical Director for the Pharmacokinetics Laboratory at the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance.
After receiving her undergraduate degree at the University of Pittsburgh, Dr. McCune received her PharmD at the University of North Carolina (UND). She stayed in Chapel Hill for her residency in oncology pharmacy at UNC Hospitals and completed a two year research fellowship focusing upon translational pharmacology of cancer drugs. She was a member of the UNC Multidisciplinary Thoracic Oncology Program during her fellowship, working upon phase I trials in lung cancer patients. Dr. McCune has published more than 85 abstracts, research articles, and book chapters, over 20 of which are of relevance to lung cancer patients. In addition to her work in lung cancer, she maintains a significant interest in clinical research in hematopoietic cell transplant recipients and pediatric cancer patients.
