The Caring Ambassadors Lung Cancer Program is a great non-profit based in Vancouver, WA, just north of Portland, that is dedicated to advocacy and education for lung cancer.   They’re having a fundraising bowl-a-thon on November 14th, at “Big Al’s”:

I’ll admit that when I saw this information, I thought to myself that I wish GRACE had thought of doing bowl-a-thons.  They’re friendly and hard to take too seriously.   And all bowl-a-thons should be at a place called Big Al’s, I think.

This is for a great cause, so anyone in the Portland/Vancouver, WA area should come out and show their support.

And happy bowling!

    Dr. West -

Thank you! I have relatives in Vancouver and you can bet I’ve told them about the Bowl-A-Thon!

Oh my. The thought of hurling an 8ish-pound ball down a slick wooden floor even 6 months after my VATS just makes me … hurt. *lol*

Ah, but definitely a superb idea, and if we had one in Seattle (great bowling joint here in West Seattle) I’d be happy to eat a burger and drink a beer and hobnob with everyone!! :->
