Just a short note to let you all know I had another scan and another report of NED. I am 16 months out from surgery and my new oncologist (the old one left for greener pastures) was very pleased and is also going to have my port removed. We will continue with 4 month scans until 2 years. I also had a long discussion about the single focus on my hip and they are very convinced that it is nothing to worry about since nothing has changed and I have been 17 months without chemo. Great news for sure. –mikem

54 year old former smoker diagnosed w/Stage IV NSCLC Adenocarcinoma 10/20/09 Completed 6 carbo/alimta followed by 10 Alimta maintenance. Biopsy of iliac negative for metastatic disease. Might not have been a stage IV after all. On to surgery…. removed lung. All lymph nodes clear 11-17-10. Feb 2012 still NED, next scan June
