Hi heartwordex,

Welcome to Grace. I think you’re asking to compare radiation and chemo but they serve different purposes. Radiation kills cells in one specific area known as local or focal treatment. Chemo is used to kill cancer cells throughout the body known as systemic therapy.

The 2 therapies are used for different reasons depending on the type and stage of cancer. While chemo kills cancer cells systemically it doesn’t kill all of them. Radiation can kill all cancer cells in a tumor.

We have quite a bit of info on treatment and please let us know if you need further help.

All best,
Janine
