SIJ,

Great! Your avatar looks perfect.

So then, re your signature, I’m not sure what to tell you. If this edit link doesn’t work (remember, you need to be logged in):

http://cancergrace.org/users/sleepless-in-jersey

then it could be some odd browser compatibility issue, especially if you’re on an older Windows browser, like IE (Internet Explorer).

I’ve added a test signature to verify that the feature is working. If you want to post your sig here, I’d be happy to enter it for you. :)

Cheers,

-Mark

Hate to state the obvious but there is some crazy spam on the loose.

49-year-old non-smoker, dx stage IV NSCLC May 2010 (squamous tumour of the left lung with multiple brain metastases). Radiotherapy to chest and brain; progressed through two cycles carbo/gemcitabine. Repeated lung collapses; pneumonia in collapsed lung, Nov 2010; bronchial stent placed, Dec 2010. Declined second-line Taxotere. Mutation testing Feb 2011, surprise EGFR exon deletion 19. Started Tarceva (150mg), Feb 2011. Progression in liver and elsewhere, May 2013.

I don’t see any crazy spam guys. I see one reply that was already marked as spam, but that’s it. Let me know if you’re still seeing some elsewhere.

Thanks,

-Mark

I think it was just the one, but it showed up twice because of the way titles of posts etc are displayed on the right-hand side of the page.

Something weird going on – phantom new postings on existing threads in the “Forum Topics” list, so they are out of synch with the “Forum Responses” list (which seems fine).
So for eg there appears to have been an update today (27 July) in this HER2 thread, whereas in fact the last post was yesterday:

http://cancergrace.org/topic/her-2-positive-gene-amplication

Also true of “Malignant Pleural Effusion” for eg.
Not very important but I thought worth mentioning. Maybe it will sort itself out.

Yes, sometimes bbPress gets out of sync, so I have to regularly run a clean-up routine, which I’ve just done. The next version will hopefully do this automatically. :)

Thanks,

Hehe – no worries cs – We appreciate the extra pair of eyes. :)

Indeed Janine – bbPress doesn’t update the counts properly when a topic is moved in the dashboard, so I have to run the recount routine instead. I’ll try to do it more often until the software update takes place early in August. :)

Cheers,
