After graduating from Oregon Health & Science University with her medical degree, Dr. Rachel Sanborn completed her residency in internal medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Then she returned to Portland for her Fellowship in Hematology and Medical Oncology at Oregon Health & Science University. She is board-certified in medical oncology and internal medicine.

Matt LePley, CPA, Board Treasurer

Matthew J. LePley serves as the Treasurer of GRACE. A licensed CPA under the State of Washington, he has been practicing in the area of taxation and accounting since 2000. Currently he is a sole practitioner under Sixty-One Consulting, PLLC providing tax consulting and CFO services to high-net worth individuals, families, and start-up companies. Previous to Sixty-One Consulting, PLLC, Mr.

Buddy Scalera, Board Member

Buddy is a strategic thought leader in new media technologies with 16+ years of digital content strategy experience. He has written and spoken extensively about healthcare marketing, social networks, marketing storytelling, web technologies and multimedia. He is the author of five mass market books on content, creative techniques, and process. He launched and maintained award-winning health information websites and was one of the driving forces behind placing the first pharmaceutical brand on a social network.

Matthew Tan, Board Member

Matthew is a well-respected Senior Manager of Business Development with the Department of Athletics and Recreation for the University of British Columbia. He is responsible for forming strategic alliances and corporate partnerships with a focus on event and property sponsorships. He routinely engages alumni and has experience in managing, on behalf of the university, a diverse array of events and programs of all sizes.

David Gray, Board Member

David Gray has been involved in clinical drug development in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries for over twenty-five years including leadership positions in clinical operations and biostatistics. He feels fortunate to have participated in the development and approval of life-changing therapies including an aerosol antibiotic for cystic fibrosis and a targeted antibody drug conjugate for Hodgkin and T-cell lymphomas.

Nancy Sladicka, Board Member

Nancy has a background in molecular biology and has over 20 years of experience in medical education and healthcare communications. Much of her professional experience has focused in the area of oncology, and has included oversight of grant funded educational programming, advisory board planning and execution, scientific communications and publication planning, clinical support and clinical trial awareness initiatives, as well as educational content development and dissemination.
