Though we are unable to attend this meeting, we offered to help spread the word. Deborah also asked that I make sure that people knew the meeting was also available via Web cast. The email follows:

Dear Patient Advocate,
We invite you to attend an upcoming public meeting on lung cancer as part of FDA’s Patient-Focused Drug Development initiative. This meeting is intended to allow FDA to gather patient and patient stakeholder perspectives on symptoms of lung cancer that matter most to patients and on current approaches to treating lung cancer.
The meeting will take place from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm on June 28th, 2013, on the FDA White Oak campus at 10903 New Hampshire Avenue, Silver Spring, MD. Information about registration and other details on the meeting can be found on the FDA Web site at http://www.fda.gov/ForIndustry/UserFees/PrescriptionDrugUserFee/ucm353273.htm.
The Office of Health and Constituent Affairs (OHCA) has created four webinars to provide background on FDA and patient-focused drug development, and they can be found at
To prepare for the meeting we encourage you to watch these webinars in advance.
