What labs are oncologists using for the plasma biopsies? I did a search but only say Biocept mentioned.
Do you find that oncologists are willing to do a plasma biopsy

Hi Connie,

I'm not sure why you only saw Biocept mentioned, because there are a number of companies which have entered the field. For example, eight of them are described in this article.

Some oncologists are embracing the procedure, but so far there are limitations to its usage. As Dr. West and his colleagues discuss in this podcast, while they can be used with good reliability to find resistance mutations, they shouldn't be relied upon to judge progression and dictate when treatment should be changed.
