Hi Sunny,
Hi Sunny,
There's really not much to add since your previous thread on this subject, Your prior CT essentially ruled out the possibility of a pancoast tumor, which at your age was very unlikely in any event.
At this point, even though the risk of developing cancer from the radiation exposure of a single, additional CT is quite small, that risk isn't zero so you don't want to have such a scan if it's not necessary. You may want to keep that in mind as a factor in your decision to repeat the scan.

Hi Sunny,
Hi Sunny,
Symptoms can only suggest a certain medical condition, so tests are performed to confirm or reject a possible diagnosis. In your situation, I'm sure your doctor quite rightly feels that the negative CT eliminates the already unlikely diagnosis of a pancoast tumor.
For legal and practical reasons, we can't tell you what you should do, but if your doctor is suggesting an MRI or other diagnostic procedures aimed at revealing a cause other than a pancoast tumor for your symptoms, that seems to be a very reasonable course of action.

Hi sunny,
Hi sunny,
As I stated in my previous post in this thread, we can't tell you what you should do. In addition, this is a cancer education site, so we don't have information on non-cancer related causes for your symptoms. And as I stated in my reply in your other thread regarding a pancoast tumor, your negative scans essentially rule out that possibility.
You will want to follow up with your own medical team to determine the cause of your symptoms.

sunny,
sunny,
I am sorry that you continue to experience these symptoms. With regard to the very unlikely possibility that this represents a pancoast tumor, there is not much more information that we can provide to reassure you that your symptoms and scans do not indicate the presence of a pancoast tumor.
I hope that further follow-up with your local doctors will help uncover the cause of your symptoms, leading to an appropriate therapy which will resolve these issues for you.
