poorly diff adenocarcinoma in the peritoneal area can it be attributed more to asbestos exposure, welding gas, or cigarette smoking (1 pack per day). My husband exposed to all thru his workplace. He passed away 10 years ago, at the age of 44. I am looking for answers.

Hello,

I am very sorry to hear of your husband's passing. Many of us who have lost loved ones to cancer ponder the same question - what brought on this awful disease? Although my late wife was not a smoker, she was exposed to second hand smoke as well as other toxins in her workplaces, and we looked for the same answer. Unfortunately, it is impossible to identify a particular cause. It could be any one of the factors you mention, or a combination of some or all of them. There could also be other unidentified causes. Although much more is known now than ten years ago, your question is one that most often remains unanswered.

Again, I am sorry about your loss, and my wish for you is for peace and comfort.
