Hi, Dr.West,
As you mentioned from above
"Tarceva might be a more effective option. The data are stronger supporting a survival benefit in patients who receive Tarceva if they don’t have an EGFR mutation."
I am Chinese woman non smoker having no EFFR mutation but with Kras mutation, do you think Tarceva could be my option after 4 cycle chemo?
My worst part is "visceral pleura is involved by carcinoma." Tumor 3.5 cm. all 11 lymphs negative. I hope the chemo Alimta and cisplatin will work on me.
Thank you very much for your reply in advance. :)

Hi, Dr. West,
Sorry to bother you again.
I just received an email from my doctor sister from China. Her colleague, an oncologist there said stage 1b (that is my stage) could go without chemo or maximum 2 cycle. He said that as he did not read my surgery report.
So my 1b seems not very accurate? Especially visceral pleura is involved by the cells.
I visit cancergrace every day. It is my home. You and your colleagues have done a great thing for us. Thank you.

I'm not sure if you still have a question, but I'd say that the current stage isn't the only factor. Even if there is pleural involvement, a smaller cancer with no nodes involved is widely considered to not necessarily be high enough risk to favor post-operative chemotherapy.
Good luck.

Thank you so much ! Dr. West. I think your reply is very valuable! I will see my surgeon tomorrow. I will ask him if I can slow down a little bit. I mean to delay my chemotherapy, which was his idea. As my white cell account was low.
Dr.West, as a cancer patient , I really appreciate your opinion .:)
