Hello Dr West
I had seen a post that there was to be a lot coming out about MK-3475 PD-1 in ASCO. What information has come out about this trial. Do you have a link with information about it?
My doctor is very excited about the trial and if I have proper protein I will be entering this trial.
Thanks in advance
Ilsa

Hi ilsa - I guess you want Dr West! but while you're waiting, this is the trial I think:
http://www.clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT01295827
As you'll see if you use the GRACE search function, we've discussed this Phase 1 trial several times on the site, and have a member, FeistyD, who is doing very well on it. She last posted in December:

Hi ilsa, Here is a link to I think our latest update, http://cancergrace.org/lung/2012/09/05/provocative-results-for-immunoth…
Also under the video box there are additional links, one is to the older asco meeting discussion.
The trial feistyD is on is I think a phase one where everyone gets the trial drug. There are also trials that are looking at just squamous.
Here is a link to the clinicaltrials.gov site we mostly use to access info for trial info. http://www.clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/results?term=pd-1&recr=&rslt=&type=&c…
Let us know if we are answering your questions or at least pointing you in the right direction.
Just keep asking and All best of luck,
Janine

The two Pfizer drugs have a bit more advanced data, but as you note, Merck's drug also has phase I data w/early evidence for efficacy.

I'm sure there will be plenty of interest. If data are going to be presented at ASCO 2013, we'll be able to relay the highlights as soon as we see the information being presented in early June. Until then, information being presented at ASCO won't be in the public domain for discussion.

Hi, I just wanted to let fellow Grace members know that UCLA is currently running the MK 3475 trial (it's been two weeks) and they have a total of 40 spots for this trial. As of yesterday, they have 15 patients enrolled in the trial and there are 25 spots left. Please contact Dr. Eddie Garon (the best lung oncologist in Southern Calif.) at (310) 586-2098 if anyone is interested. The spaces are going fast so please contact him ASAP.

I have been on the Merck 3475 trial since May 2012 (about 9 months). Next week I have my next set of scans (every nine weeks), so I'll post with those results. I am still getting better and better with very minimal side effects (itchy red spots). In fact, I'll be reaching my two-year anniversary of my diagnosis soon, and I daresay I am almost back to normal, which I know is not the usual pattern for Stage IV NSCLC. I have started an email group for anti-PD-1 so we can keep in touch with each other. If anyone would like to join, send me a private message with your name and email address.

FeistyD, How lovely that you have started the group for personal correspondence. I know as a group y'all must have tons to say that you wouldn't want on the web. I think I would. However... :) I trust you will continue to keep us up to date with those matters that aren't so personal.
So so glad you're feeling so close to normal. Wow! and congratulations!
