Met with my oncologist today & went over the CT scan. NED in the lungs. No changes from my last scan. No mention of fibrosis changes as in my last scan. No mention of inflammation or radiation pneumonitis as in last scan. No new nodules or masses, no enlarged lymph nodes, no pleural effusions. Great News!!
The leiomyoma or GIST slow growing stomach tumor mentioned in my last scan, measured 2.3 x 1.2 cm, up from 1.9 X .08 cm in the last 6 mos. Based on my history & current problems he wants to set up a meeting with a gastro. doc. to see about a biopsy.
Bad news is I’ve been feeling lousy for months. Walk a few feet, legs are fatigued & I’m sucking wind like I just ran a 100 yard dash. Past few days been running a fever along with its shivers & sweats. Cipro, antibiotic seems to be knocking that down. Blood work not showing any clear answers as to causes but sure seems to be mirroring my symptoms of last Augusts sepsis event. I’m sure we’ll find out the cause, sooner rather than later I hope!
So over all a very good cancer report.

Well I'm gong to start by saying Yay! Then ask could you maybe have a bug? The Flu shots aren't suppose to be working that well this Year? It's worth checking out? Hope you feel better soon! Keep up the good work!

Andy that is such great news! I am hopeful that this is NOT sepsis again, and that you will be feeling better soon. If you're going to be NED you ought to be able to enjoy it!!!

Thanks everyone for your well wishes. Couldn't really wish for better results for a two yr. post treatment scan. As for the other problem, I've got an infection that so far no one has been able to locate. So far has not gotten into my blood, lets keep it that way. Last Tues, & Wed. last week were about as bad as I've ever had. From teeth rattling shivers to towel mopping sweats. Then antibiotic "Cipro" kicked in & fever left. Low blood pressure causing dizzyness, even a tumble off a kitchen stool. At the pueunmonologist office today was 70/45/85. We'll get a handle on it, lot of very good folks working on it. New blood tests, bumped up prednisone to 60
