My wife was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer fifteen months ago. She is EGFR positive and taking Tarceva. She is in remission now.
Here in Australia it is now winter, 5-22 degrees Celsius. Some of our neighbours heat their houses with wood fires. Since there is no regulation on the type of wood and only a non- enforced loose rule on emissions we find often find ourselves in the middle of considerable smoke. Some of it seeps inside our home, enough to make my eyes sting on occasions. She is very worried that the smoke will adversely affect her prognosis.
What do you think?

Hi loftus,
Glad to hear your wife is doing well on Tarceva.
There was a discussion of the effect of wood smoke here: http://cancergrace.org/topic/could-smoke-from-a-wod-burning-stove-be-an…

I don't have anything to add to what Jim has already directed you to. Good luck to her in her treatment!
