Help interpreting Bone/MRI Scan - 1260166

Was diagnosed with breast cancer in December 2012. Had auto accident in December 2013 and had considerable injury to shoulder area.

On 1/11/2013 - Bone Scan it read - Scapula lesion measuring .3 cm, bony scar focus may represent benign island

On 2/24/2013 - MRI read - 4mm lesion - metastasis breaks through the cortical bone and extends to surrounding tissues

Pet Scan on 4/16/2013 did not show any activity on the scapula.

The most recent scan of August 2013 does not show any lesions at all.

Does that mean that the area resolved without it being metastasis because of the accident or where these metastasis that healed without any treatment?

Thank you.

We couldn't interpret the significance of scans we can't see in a person we don't know, but you definitely wouldn't expect any metastatic lesions to resolve spontaneously. This argues very strongly against there being a cancer, but a doctor directly involved in your care is going to be in a better position to speak to your particular situation.

Good luck.

I understand you would not be able to interpret the significance of scans and greatly appreciate your trying to help us decipher some of the information given to us.

My doctor doesn't have an answer. He said we would have to wait and see if the lesions show up again.

One question, can a lesions show up after an accident then disappear?

I believe Dr. West was speaking to that possibility when he said, This argues very strongly against there being a cancer..."
Cancer can do anything but while it isn't there now it isn't hurting anything either so waiting and watching is an appropriate thing to do.

I hope it was just inflammation and stays away,
