I've had several; GI test: MRCP, abdominal ct scan, ultrasound. All negative. Amylase normal. Is elevated lipase a sign of lung cancer or tumors? I read elelvated amylase can be, but mines is always normal.

In a post from the NIH higher than normal lipase test results suggests several problems but not lung cancer,
"What Abnormal Results Mean
Higher-than-normal levels may be due to:
Blockage of the bowel (bowel obstruction)
Celiac disease
Duodenal ulcer
Cancer of the pancreas
Infection of swelling of the pancreas
This test may also be done for familial lipoprotein lipase deficiency."

In the absence of evidence of a mass, particularly in the pancreas, there would be little to no reason to link an elevated lipase to cancer.

Thanks. I've had several scans to look for anything. Lipase fluctuates from normal to high and I have no symptoms. Just concerned that it was related to lung cancer.
But from what I read it's amylase can elevated in someone wth lung cancer, then decreases if treatment is working on some LC patients.

It's not a remotely common marker to use in lung cancer, and I would consider it a great leap to go from an elevated lipase to a presumption of the presence of a lung cancer. And I would be profoundly reassured if the imaging shows no evidence of a cancer.
Good luck.
