My sister has recently been diagnosed with high grade mucoepidermoid carcinoma. She underwent right upper lobe removal right main stem bronchial resection. Told she had clean margins and no lymph node involvement. No further treatment at this time recommended. What can we expect. What is the prognosis if it was all removed. Please help!

Hello Paunique,
Hello Paunique,
Welcome to GRACE. I'm sorry to hear of your sister's diagnosis, but it's good that she had clear margins and no lymph node involvement. As with any lung cancer, if the surgery successfully removed all of the cancer from her body, then her prognosis is very good. Only time and appropriate follow up scans will make that clear.
Best of luck with future scans!
