Hello, Nia, welcome to GRACE.
Hello, Nia, welcome to GRACE.
Sorry to hear about your husband, many of us here are in the same boat, so to speak.
You don't mention any details, but unless your husband is in a study, it's likely you're speaking of a drug called Opdivo, also known as nivolumab.
Opdivo is given intravenously every two weeks, usually over an hour, but this may be reduced to 30 minutes. The most common side effects are diarrhea and rash.
How long the effects last is an open question, In general, the response rate is about 20%, and if you're in that lucky 20%, the effects can be long lasting, two years, even more.
Good luck, and best wishes.
Tom
