Hello I am new to this forum and I hope I can help others and maybe get some help myself. My husband was dx with stage 3 colon cancer at age 32 in 2008. He underwent chemo for 6 months. he has since had mets to his lung x2 with more chemo and an eventual right lobectomy. Then last year he had mets to his liver which was removed and now at his 6 month f/u MRI shows another spot on his liver and adrenal gland. This time the doctors want to do cyber knife to treat both areas. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this type of radiation and the long term benefits or negatives associated with it. I want to be realistic (I am an RN by the way) but I am very scared that this "non invasive" approach is not going to give us the results we are looking for. Any thoughts or experiences would be greatly appreciated since this is our first time dealing with radiation treatment.

I'm sorry your husband is going through all this. I don't know if we do but will see if we have someone who can comment. At the moment we don't have specialist in colon cancer.

Cyberknife treatment to these areas is a reasonable consideration.
We do such treatment frequently at our center very safely with excellent tumor control.
I would certainly meet with a radiation oncologist and review this option in detail.
There is a very good chance you will like this approach.
