Can radiation stop for 3 days and continue ? - 1244898

I start my whole brain radiation on this week Monday for 10 days. But, today morning, hospital call up to inform they have problem with the machine and earliest be ready is on Friday , means I will take a rest from the treatment for atleast 3 days ( after the 2 days radiation ) .

Just wonder is this going to reduce the effectiveness of the radiation result ?

Appreciate any comment and sharing .

When I had brain radiaton, the hospital had a long weekend every 2nd week, where they serviced all the machines, so it was commn for us to have 3 days off, and I loved every one of those days off!!

Thks so much for your sharing and advise.

Meantime, yesterday evening hospital call up to inform machine can carry out radiation for me and I went over for the radiaion ( it is about 30 minutes drive from my house ) , all goes well .
