That would be so wonderful it they have indeed found a loophole in chemo resistance and can stop it. I wonder what it all means though and what needs to happen next.

This is really quite promising. WNT is a target that has already been the subject of some research interest, and as mentioned in the link, some treatments directed at WNT inhibition are being developed. This work remains preclinical, so while the results are quite encouraging, it still requires a lot more study in animals and humans, and presumably in a wide range of tumor types, before it changes treatment. But these are at least the kinds of leads that very well might lead to a better understanding of cancer and better treatment plans.

PS: Peter Nelson is someone I almost did my research with at Fred Hutch (in which case, GRACE might have been a prostate cancer website). A very good, smart guy.
