Compassion Meditation Program

Greetings everybody,

My name is Sneha Parikh, and I’m an undergrad student studying Psychology at the University of Arizona. I’m doing my honors thesis research in the lab of Dr. Thaddeus Pace, PhD, Associate Professor.

I’m reaching out today to see if any members of GRACE may be interested in taking part in a compassion meditation program that we are studying at the University of Arizona for breast cancer survivors and their family members. Unlike many other meditation programs, this meditation group meets by Zoom, so it can be done from anywhere in the United States.

The program involves meeting once per week, over 10 weeks, usually on Saturday afternoons. It’s okay if people taking part in the program cannot make it every single week.

Please see the attached program flyer, or learn more about the program by clicking this link: https://redcap.link/cbct_zoom .

If you are available to chat, please feel free to let us know. We hope to hear from you soon. Thank you for your time!

Hi Sneha,

I'm glad you've posted this on our forums and hope someone/s will see it and join.  Mindfulness can feel out of reach and be difficult to reclaim once such trauma deals its blows.

Thanks and best of luck,

Janine

I joined GRACE as a caregiver for my husband who had a Pancoast tumor, NSCLC stage III in 2009. He had curative chemo/rads then it was believed he had a recurrence in the spine/oligometastasis that was radiated. He's 10 years out from treatment.
