I had a second ct after 6 weeks of accidental discovery of one nodule in the mid section of the left lung. 7.5mmx7.5mmx6.5mm. This had persisted since prior scan. 2 smaller 2mm nodules (no classification) were found also on the same lung on the bottom portion.
I see the pulmonary specialist tomorrow afternoon. Radiologist had noted it as clear ground glass and oval shape - no solid or semi solid detected. Given the size it was classified as probable AAH with AIS not being ruled out given its size.
I am 45yrs old, non smoker and no secondary smoke exposure. In good health, no weight gain or loss - been borderline anemic all my life.
The radiology report has really stressed out totally and i am at a loss what to expect.
any thoughts appreciated.

Hi saj1,
Hi saj1,
Welcome to GRACE. I am sorry that these scan findings are causing you so much anxiety, understandably so. But it is important to remember that very often such nodules, even if AAH or AIS, are extremely slow growing and not a significant threat to survival. It may help to read Dr. West's post here: http://cancergrace.org/lung/2013/04/13/follow-up-duration-for-ground-gl…
Good luck with your appointment.
