Does there seem to be any interaction (if known) of taking Oil of Oregano for cough/mucous production when on Alimta therapy. My husband was coughing so violently that he put his back out and had to go to his chiropractor. Chiopractor advised that some of his cancer patients who suffer from cough have been taking Oregano Oil 3 drops, 3 x's a day with juice with good success. Don't know if any of them were on chemo at the time. We won't be seeing Oncologist until early Nov. Thank you.

There's nothing about an interaction in the Alimta prescribing information, and I haven't found any mention of it here or elsewhere on the internet. Of course, drugs aren't tested in combination with every possible supplement, so as Dr. West likes to say "absence of proof isn't proof of absence".
