Yes, the lung doesn't have pain receptors, but tumors can cause inflammation which can spread to the pleura (the liquid-filled sac around the lungs) or the chest wall, or there can be an increase in that pleural fluid. Any of these conditions can cause pain when breathing. Although a psychological cause can't be ruled out, the other possibilties are more likely.
