Happy New Year everyone! I just wanted to share that I had my 4 month scans on December 30. Once again, I am NED!!! I have no idea how or why I have been so blessed, but I am so incredibly thankful.

I wanted to let you all know that I have, yet again, been blessed with an NED scan. July of this year will be 5 years since diagnosis and I've never had a recurrence in my chest. July will also be 2 years since my brain met, and I've never had a recurrence there, either. My doctor says he's really not sure what to make of me. :)
We suppose that the disease could just be indolent and that Tarceva isn't making a difference, but neither of us are willing to test that theory.

Sherry, I'm absolutely giddy reading about your NEDness. July could be D's 5th year since dx but he put off surgery 4 extra weeks to get things in order. Now look at you 2.

That's wonderful, Sherry. I agree there's essentially no precedent for what to expect, but that's still remarkably good. I have had 1-2 patients over the past 10 years who have followed your pattern, defying expectations and doing remarkably well. I hope you follow that pattern.
