Feb. 2012 i had a successful upper right lobectomy for stage 1 NSCLC. My 1st followup CTscan
on 8/2012, revealed 3 small (2-3mm) nodules on left upper and Lingua. The Radiology report implied that
these may not be new because prior scans were at 5mm as opposed to 2.5mm for this scan. My question
is: is 2.5mm sufficient to give us an accurate as possible assessment on size and quality of these
new(?) nodules?

Yes, 2.5 mm cuts would be pretty high resolution and do a fine job in assessing even smaller nodules. Bear in mind that there's a danger with extremely high resolution scans of seeing, over-reacting to and over-treating findings that may never have any clinical relevance at all.
Good luck.
