Nsclc stage 4 adenocarcinoma alk+, 6 tx of carboplatin/alimta,10 tx alimta, good results every scan..oncologist referring me to a radiation oncologist...should I do the radiation or just continue with alimta? Any advice will be highly appreciated.....

Normally local therapies such as surgery or radiation are not recommended with Stage Iv lung cancer, although there are exceptions. The general principle is described in this GRACE FAQ: http://cancergrace.org/cancer-101/2011/01/01/cancer-101-faq-i-have-meta… Radiation is used in the case of bone metastases which are causing pain or threatening fracture of a weight-bearing bone, or for tumors which are pressing against vital structures such as airways.
