I was wondering if anyone have any thoughts on the Erlotinib and Momelotinib for the Treatment of EGFR. My boyfriend has joined the clinical trial and would love to hear from others in the trial. Thanks.

Hi Rebecca,
Hi Rebecca,
Welcome to Grace. I'm very sorry your boyfriend has this diagnosis. Since this is early in the phase one process there isn't going to be any hard data that suggests what to expect, that's the reason for the trial. There may be someone online here on Grace or one of the support forums who is also on the trial. Perhaps also try lungevity or inspire for others who are members of the trial. The best chance of finding someone to talk to about experiences maybe at the cancer center where the trial is taking place. I believe this is the trial he's on, https://www.clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT02206763?term=Momelotinib&co…
Erlotinib brand name Tarceva has been shown to be very effective for those with the type mutation your bf has. Momelotinib hasn't been tested in lung cancer before so the jury is out on how they may work together.
As far as side effects again we can't guess as to what to expect there just isn't any info yet. The best info may come from those working on the trial. Some people breeze through while others have problems. The good thing about being on a trial is he will be well cared for and closely watched. I hope he does very well. Please keep us posted.
All best,
Janine
