Side effects of PCI in older patients - 1243697

I am leery of having PCI due to the fact I am 81 years old.

The risk of cognitive side effects from PCI are greater in patients as they get older, but many patients can do well, and there are still people with a high enough risk of cancer spreading to the brain that PCI is an appropriate consideration. However, nobody can provide a guarantee that it will be well tolerated.

In the future, please post your questions in the section most appropriate for it under the "Ask a Question About ____" header. This area is for questions and comments specifically about the GRACE community and website. There is a separate section for questions about radiation, another about lung cancer, etc.

Good luck.
