Hello to all: I know this is the Lung discussion board and I now will likely have to 'visit' the breast board.
My brother died of very late stage pancreatic cancer just about (3) years ago.
My Mother was just dx'ed of Lung cancer in 08/12 and has been battling it and thank God and to all others has been steadily improving, hopefully and God willing be able to beat it!!
We do not know the details yet but apparently my sister was just dx'ed today of having breast cancer. I do not know what type, stage and or if it is the primary!!!!!
I mean when is enough...enough? & why..why..why..why and why!!!
My Mom who just received a good report this past Monday and now this. She has enough to deal with as do many of you!!!
I am sorry if I might offend anyone but I think we've had more than our fair share of grief and heartache!
I'm sure there are other families and people who have endured a lot more and I am truly sorry for them but I guess we all must 'soldier on'!!??
Can anyone recommend what cancer centers/hospitals in the middle atlantic and or northeast area are the best for breast cancer?
We all mainly live in Pennsylvania. Thank you.
Please everyone take care and God bless!

I'm truly sorry. I don't think any of us can explain why there's so much misery out there for people who don't deserve it. If misery loves company, you should at least have some kindred spirits here, with their own good reasons to vent.

There are great folks at Penn, Memorial Sloan Kettering in NYC, Hopkins in Baltimore, University of North Carolina, Dana Farber in Boston, but I'm sure that there are many other extremely good breast cancer docs and centers that I'm not mentioning. It's a little too far from my field and geography to be able to offer specifics.

Good luck.
