Hello,
I had my breast cancer operation on 21st June 2012 (Invasive Lobular Carcinoma 10mm) and
both scars (breast and under the arm) are healing very well.
But I still have (little blood and a little yellow fluid) almost every day.
I am wondering, doo other patients experience this as well?
Thank you very much for your answer.

Reply To: Why continued discharge after breast cancer operation?
P.S
The discharge comes from the breast-nipple and I had such a discharge before the operation as well
but I thought it would stop after the operation?
Thank you.

I'm sorry that your question might not be able to be fielded until Monday. Dr. Cianfrocca, our expert in breast cancer, is at the same meeting I'm at in NYC, but I know she's also enjoying a little personal time here and may or may not actually turn off her computer for a little time over the weekend. I'd answer, but since I really don't see almost any breast cancer patients in my clinic, I don't have that kind of actual practical knowledge.
We'll try to get you some info ASAP.

Hi Kristne,
While in the end, it may turn out to be normal, it's very important to let your surgeon know about this. You surgeon can examine you and determine if additional testing is necessary.
All the best,
Dr Cianfrocca

Hello, catdander, thank you very much for welcoming me to Grace
and many thanks to Dr. West and Dr. Cianfrocca for their thoughts
and their kind answers, it is very much appreciated.
Tomorrow (Monday) I shall see the Radiotherapist
and I shall also see my surgeon soon
and I’ll ask them about the continued (little) discharge.
I do hope it turns out to be normal.
Thank you once again from Kristina.
