<p>I was dx'd with Bronchioavelor Carcinomna (BAC) in Sept 2011. I tested postive for EGFR and was placed on Tarceva and I have been on it for almost ten years and have remained pretty much stable. I recently had a pet scan and it did show I have a hpermetabolic airspace disease a with an SUV of 5.7 and my oncologist belives I have hit the Tarveca resistance wall and wants to put me on Tagrisso (which I am fine with).

Hello,
Can anyone share their experiences with an indwelling Pleurx catheter? Dear Husband had one placed rather urgently 6 weeks ago after two prior thoracentesis procedures about 3 weeks apart. The amount being drained 3x a week was going down for a while and is now trending upwards. Oncologist says that even when systemic treatment is working, the body can continue to create the effusions, requiring the drain to stay in long term. I'm a bit overwhelmed by that thought and would like to hear from others who have walked this walk.
Thank you,
Joanne
Hello,
My dear husband was diagnosed in early January and after a Guardant360 liquid biopsy that revealed the EGFR mutation was able to start on Tagrisso. The CT scan after 8 weeks shows no change in either of the nodes in the lungs. Does this mean the treatment is not working?
Thank you,
Joanne
