My aunt has Leukemia AML with FLT3 IDT. It's in Remission. There is nothing more to do, until it comes back, which is likely, because of FLT3. How can I find drug Trials that she is qualified for? Her doctor says it's "Too Soon". Neither is interested in exerting any effort. But I am. What is the process? What about off label drugs?

Hello,
Hello,
It's good to hear that your aunt's leukemia is in remission. One reason that your doctor may consider it too early is that trials open and close relatively frequently, so it will be a question of which trials are available to her at the time she needs them.
In any event, if you wish to search for trials, either now or later, the best place is clinicaltrials.gov . There you can search by specifics of her condition as well as by geographical location. Each listing states the exclusion/inclusion criteria, although there is no substitute for direct contact with the trial personnel to be certain that their qualifications have been met.
Good luck.

There are many trials
There are many trials available during remission with FLT3, according to your database. It is so easy to use and understand!
How do I get the doctor to consider them? She is very difficult to communicate with, as is the patient...

Probably the best I can
Probably the best I can suggest is to print out the trial listing and bring it to an appointment or send it to the doctor. Of course if the patient is not interested there's not much you can do beyond educating her about the possibilities.
Good luck.

If the patient is interested
If the patient is interested but the doc is not inclined to engage in the discussion, this would be a good situation in which to seek a second opinion from someone with significant expertise in the subject.
