34 and scared of pancoast tumor

I’m a 33, turning 34 next month healthy female- In the past 4 months my dr has been watching my bloodwork for a slightly elevated d dimer .55 and ha crp (1.7) as my husband and I were planning on starting a family soon. I’m on a more naturopathic blood thinning protocol and just got retested. D dimer came down to .52 ( still elevated beyond normal of .5) but hs crp has risen to 6.7.

Worried about lung cancer

I am 32 and recently start experiencing some worrying symptoms. I have had a cough for 3 weeks now and bad right shoulder pain that shoots down my arm for almost as long. The pain started mild at first but has gotten worse. It hurts mostly when I move the wrong way and feels almost like a pinched nerve. I can go most of the day with it being pretty tolerable but have stretches where it hurts really bad. I also feel short of breath quite a bit during the days but it isn't that short of breath of that makes sense.

GRACE Video - Staging Lung Cancer

We have recently posted a new video on the GRACE YouTube channel, in which a panel of GRACE faculty oncologists discuss the steps involved in staging a suspicious lung nodule, from initial CT scan to biopsy and PET and brain MRI scans.

You can watch the video here: https://youtu.be/-5b7SUu22_M

If you have any questions about the information in this video, please reply and we'll be happy to help you.

Spiculated lung nodule found

Hello,
I’m new here and I’m trying to find some answers.
A family member, male, 58, Asthma.
Ct scan showed 5 solid lung nodules.
Nodules are between 4-5mm in size.
One nodule is spiculated which worries us the most as spiculation is considered highly suspicious of malignancy. I did a lot ot research and spiculation is always described as a sure sign of the nodule being cancerous.
Followup Ct scan will be in 6 months.

Small Lung Nodule

Background:
Previously had testicular cancer (the really "good" and "curable" kind) that was caught early, I'm in my late 30s -- this was ~18 months ago. Surgery as treatment. No sign of spread over 18 months since it was removed. Scans every 3 then 6 months since.

I had a very bad cold (covid-like) in 2019 over 6 months and I was coughing aggressively. Stupidly resisted conventional medicine for that cold so I think that contributed to the virus taking a long time to go away.

I'm a Non-smoker.

Pancoast Tumor

Hi, I’m 23 years old and starting last year around march or so I started to get this pain in my shoulder blade where it felt like it needed to be cracked. The pain was pretty intense but it only occurred if I squeezed my right shoulder blade back. The pain subsided every now in then through the year but I came back consistently around November-December 2022. Starting January the pain just got worse and now the pain is not only in my shoulder blade but the right side of my chest also. More towards the bottom towards the ribs.

OncTalk Saturday, 12/10/22 Free, Live Online w/Q and A

Hello All,

This is a reminder that GRACE is holding its annual OncTalk meeting Saturday, Dec. 10, 2022. Here's a link to all the info and a link to register.

This is a FREE online event for lung cancer patients, caregivers, and survivors, with the opportunity to interact with several world-class lung cancer oncologists, hear the latest information on treatments and participate in a Q&A session with doctors during this live, virtual event.

I joined GRACE as a caregiver for my husband who had a Pancoast tumor, NSCLC stage III in 2009. He had curative chemo/rads then it was believed he had a recurrence in the spine/oligometastasis that was radiated. He's 10 years out from treatment.
