My husband had WBR in July for metastatic lung caner. In January he had radiosurgery on one small tumor in the brain. How long does it take for the tumor to shrink or completely disappear after radiosurgery?

It can easily take months, but sometimes even dead, inert metastases continue to be visible for years, even if they aren't active and causing any issues. We are looking for new or growing lesions as the finding that would trigger a change, but seeing residual areas of prior disease doesn't set off alarm bells.
