I am in a waiting period for lung cancer checks to see if that's what I have... then two days ago had an xray of my lower leg due to hitting it and thinking it might be broken. The tibia, where I hit it was fine (bone bruise) but they found a "fibro-osseous lesion" on my fibula. I can't find if this is possible mestatic cancer. All I find is that it is a general term for bone tumor. Anything you can tell me about what a fibro osseous lesion is would be helpful.

Hi,
Hi,
It is very unusual (though not impossible) for lung cancer to metastasize that low on the leg. In addition, fibro-osseous lesions are often benign, so I think this finding should be low on your list of things to worry about, and I hope that you get good answers from the remainder of your cancer workup.
