Hi there,
Late yesterday I noticed my PIC line was oozing and went to my local emerg where the doc remove it due to infection. Naturally he ran bloods on me and my WBC came back elevated at 17.4. I am day 9 past my 5th chemo treatment and am taking Neulasta. I am due for another chemo this Thursday. My question is, can my elevated WBC be due to the Neulasta and should the doc have put me on an antibiotic? I'm concerned now that I have a chemotherapy induced leukemia :(

I would qualify this by saying that there is only a 99.99999% chance of being correct.
You don't have chemotherapy-induced leukemia. This is very much expected after Neulasta, but I can't say whether there might also be an infection. It is a question of judgment of your specific situation whether an antibiotic is a good idea. I can assure you of the wisdom of the decision not to treat you for leukemia right now.
