Hello, I have a doubt. One of my close relatives is currently diagonosed with Intestinal Cancer. We've been trying different medical drugs on her, but each one seem to have a different side effect. She was down with a fever a few days back, we gave her Adol and then she started puking and becoming really weak. I cannot emphasis on the word weak. Whatever drug she intakes it'll do its job (like killing the fever) but will reward with some other problem. She's on her third stage, and we really need to start Chemo. But the doctors say we can't start Chemo unless and until her body is healthy enough. Please, tell me what to do? Thankyoux

Hi Maria,
Hi Maria,
I'm very sorry your relative is in such bad condition however we can't tell you what you should do.
If someone is too weak to take anti cancer treatment like chemo it's very likely the person can benefit a great deal from hospice care. Hospice care is able to help care for the person's needs appropriately and make the person comfortable. If at some point the person becomes healthy enough to take treatment then they can.
I hope she is feeling more comfortable soon.
