Beginning of November I got sick with what felt like the flu. Two days before Christmas, I got hit with the same thing Except no fever this time. Anyways, sore throat started, swollen tonsils etc lasted a few days. I was on three different antibiotics. Sore throat started to go away and then got worse again but throat started to hurt in the lower part of the my throat and was hurting like my throat were irritated from coughing. It felt bruised inside. Tonsils were not swollen at all. My tongue was also feeling swollen and painful and I was also having post nasal drip fork when I was sick and was gagging up green thick mucus. It would hurt to swallow, eat, talk, and felt very tickle like. It was bad for a few days. Went to an ent and he did a scope and didn’t see any thing besides slight inflammation of lymph tissue at back of tongue and throat. Now, I’m starting to cough and feel chest congestion, still gagging up mucus and the back sides of mt tongue are hurting where one side like red and irritated. I have a history of chronic lymph node swelling that was checked out. I’m not sure what’s going on. Is the sickness I had still lingering? Am I getting something new? Could I be getting cancer? I’m extremely scared of cancer.little background: I’m 23, non smoker, non drinker, gets sick a lot and has a range of health issues such as hashimotos, asthma, sinusitis

Hi, I'm sorry you're not well but we aren't able to help with diagnosis. I hope you're better soon.

I joined GRACE as a caregiver for my husband who had a Pancoast tumor, NSCLC stage III in 2009. He had curative chemo/rads then it was believed he had a recurrence in the spine/oligometastasis that was radiated. He's 10 years out from treatment.
