I was diagnosed with Stage IV brain metastatic cancer after having my right lobe removed for lung cancer Stage 3A. If the brain tumors are shrinking from Tarceva is my Stage IV still the diagnosis?

Hi Ruth,

Welcome to GRACE. Once lung cancer has spread to the bloodstream as Stage IV disease, staging does not change as a result of treatment, although it is possible to achieve a status of NED, in which scans show no evidence of disease (the term "remission" is generally not favored in lung cancer).

I hope your brain mets totally resolve so that you can achieve that coveted status.
