I really apprecıate your responses ın advance. My friend just started taxol as treatment for lung adenocarcinoma wıth brain mets. She has pain all over her body and doctors told her to come ın to emergency for pain medication shot ıf the pain becomes unbearable.
is this a typical side effect of taxol? have you used or suggest any methods for pain management?

Muscle and joint aches are pretty common with Taxol (paclitaxel), but they aren't usually severe enough to require a patient to go to the emergency room. They're usually managed with anything from tylenol to some oral opioids like Percocet or oxycodone.
