very reare ERBB2 mutation in lung cancer - 1272934

I received a Foundation One report which shows an ERBB2 mutation. The oncologist indicated that its a very very rare type of ERBB2/HER2 - only 2-3 other documented cases ever. My question is which doctors in the US or across the world specialize in rare mutation and might like to study this case? Who studies ERBB2/HER mutations and might like to have the tissue in their lab? I'm looking for referrals for doctors and institutions. I'm hoping someone might want to have samples in their labs in order to study it more thoroughly. Where can I find people and research institutions that would do this kind of work on a rarity?

Hi good-life,

Welcome to Grace! Rare mutations by nature don't have any clinically practical data to steer treatment. However there may be a trial for which you'd be appropriate. It's impossible to make suggestions about options without knowing anything about your situation, cancer type, stage, and previous treatments.

Let us know this info if you'd like.

All best,
