The conclusion for my Biopsy on the Right lower lobe of Lung indicates that:
- the features are those of Multifocal Pulmonary Adenocarncinoma with Micropapiliary and Lepidic/Bronchoalveolar growth patterns.
- There is no evidence of vascular, Lymphatic or Pleural Invasion.
This is the first time this has been detected and it is all new to me.
My physician has suggested a chemotherapy which is way beyond my means.
I would like to find out if there are available alternative means of managing/treating this situation?

I'm sorry about your recent diagnosis.
The main treatment options for a multifocal lung cancer are chemotherapy or oral targeted therapy such as Tarceva (erlotinib), which is only favored over chemo as a treatment for the people whose tumor has an EGFR mutation. This is present in about 10% of people in North America and Europe and more like 30-40% of patients in Europe.
May I ask why "chemotherapy is way beyond [your] means"? Do you mean financially? There are certainly a wide range of chemotherapy options, not all of which are especially expensive, and Tarceva costs about $5000 per month without insurance.

If it is financial, then there are means to get assistance. Talk to a social worker at the cancer clinic or hospital where you're being seen. Wishing you the best. Take care, Judy
