I'm so happy to report that her last chemo treatment went perfectly and she was given anti-nausea meds and she's maintained an appetite and has been eating really well.
I suspect that her pain pills for her back were making her pretty nauseous and now that her back is better she's feeling much improved.
I'm so thankful!!!
I have discovered a pumpkin smoothy that was helpful for her.
1/2 c. pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling)
1/4 c. heavy cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
3/4 c. water
1/2 c. ice
sweeten with maple syrup to taste... (try 3 tablespoons first and add more if you prefer)
blend in a good blender that can crush ice.
this worked wonders for her. Fiber, protein and some fat. She loves pumpkin pie.
I believe her next treatment is on the 26th and then we will get a scan to see how it's working.
Fingers crossed!
