My sister has been going for two years now for chemo therapy she is a trooper but latest petscan really not great could someone (maybe a dr) help explain more clearly:
new hypermetabolic right pelvic soft tissue masses and left infraclavicular nodes. Right adnexal soft tissue may represent a bowel loop, right ovarian structure or additional mesenteric deposit. Interval increase in size and FDG activity in the left axillary, left subpectoral and mediastinal lymph nodes, the peritoneal deposit close to the liver and gastrohepatic lymph node.

Welcome to GRACE. I'm sorry to hear of what your sister and you are going through, and especially the latest scan findings, which are concerning. From the description you give, it appears that there is growth and increased activity in some lymph nodes, new lymph node activity, as well as masses in the hip and abdomen. In the context of an existing cancer diagnosis, I'm sorry to say that these are all suspicious for spread of the disease. Her oncologist should be able to provide a more detailed description.

With invasive lobular breast
With invasive lobular breast cancer with metastasis to the lymph nodes and other organs...what is the prognosis and treatment plan? Is it just palliative to keep you comfortable until you pass on? Is there anyone here on the forum who has lived past 2 years? Please help...
