Has anyone heard from Ann??? I was in regular contact with her and had recently sent her an email. Oddly, and so not like her, I have not heard back in some time. I have seached the boards to see if she has been on as of late and cannot find anything recently posted by her.

It is worrying me a bit. I know she was going through a tough time and her lack of/inability to respond makes me nervous.

I hope she is ok :(

Thank you, Janine.
I agree with Debra that if blue skies is out there and feeling well enough, it would be great to hear from her. She mentioned she was finding the new site difficult to navigate, so that may be part of it.
I have also been thinking about Jing and wondering how she is getting on. I would encourage anyone who is feeling shy or can't face creating a new thread to use the existing "Community Updates" thread:

Operations Director, GRACE

Hello everyone -
I wanted to inform you of some sad news. I had received an email from Blue Skies' sister in law a week or so ago. She at that time informed me that Ann had passed away, and shared the following:

I was informed by a dear friend of my sister-in- law Ann Linnertz,
that she found the support of this group so useful and healing during her
illness. I don't know if this is the proper forum to inform you of Anns'
passing, but I can't seem to find any phone numbers on her computer. Ann
passed away in the early hours Saturday January 26th. She had her husband
and children by her side. We are all heartbroken and will miss her dearly.
Thank you all for being such an enormous help for her during her struggles.

I responded to her email and invited her to post something or to let me know if it was ok for me to post something on GRACE letting everyone know of her passing. I finally this evening heard back from Ann's husband, and asked me to post an announcement. He also let me know that there is an obituary in today’s Washington Post. The link to this obituary is here. http://www.washingtonpost.com/local/obituaries/ann-m-linnertz-transit-administrator/2013/02/09/4768308e-7227-11e2-ac36-3d8d9dcaa2e2_story.html

I am sorry to be the bearer of bad news. I know she will be hugely missed.

XO

This news is so very sad. I'm sure Blues Skies will continue to move through our lives with her remarkable spirit.

But I will miss her terribly.

Blueskies wrote this to me shortly after I was deemed inoperable...

"Debra, wanted to chime in to lend my encouragement and support in what I know is a very difficult and disappointing turn of events. We’ve all had too many of those lately. But now, we can link our arms (virtually) and push on."

The news of Anne's passing is indeed a disappointing turn of events. It seems it gets harder and harder to " push on." But it occurs to me the nature of the crowd that will be waiting to welcome me when my time comes, and I can't think of a finer bunch. It doesn't quite quench the fear, but it makes the passings easier to accept.

To those of us left behind... hold your nerve Gracers, link virtual arms, and with the love we share for each other, push on.

Debra

My heart is heavy with this news. First it was Faith and Hope and now Blue Skies. I hope they are at peace. The rest of us will continue to struggle on, and hope for the best.
