My husband has nocturia - bad. Since his pneumonectomy (T3 N1 M0) In October 2014 he has been up every two to three hours to pee. He has not had a restful sleep in the last 4 years and it is seriously impacting his quality of life. He has recently begun measuring and he pees up to two litres every night (no less than one.

His prostate is slightly enlarged (by CT scan) but the GP is convinced the problem in not urological

What's next after Tagrisso? - 1294947

Dx 11/2016. + for exon 19 deletion, Rx. with Tarceva for 18 months. Tolerated well. Now on Tagrisso, not sure how well I'm tolerating as it's only been 2 weeks, + for T790. Trying to be proactive and think a step or 2 ahead. What is next. Is there a proven standard of care for 3rd line treatment or am I done? I'm scared of trials as I don't find that most are in MY best interest. But I do think there are some that might apply. Just don't know how to find. I'm not interested in early phase, dossing trials. But if there is a phase 3 trial that is promising I might consider.

What to do after resection and chemotherapy for Stage 2B NSCLC adeno? - 1294940

Forums

I have had surgical resection and have just completed chemotherapy. I have EGFR 858 mutation I was planning on getting into a trial for Osimertinib but was told I don't qualify because because my creatinine runs 1.8-1.9. This turns out to be true for the Alchemist study also where I might received Erlotinib. Neither drug is metabolized in the kidney or would require adjusted dosing. The inclusion of this requirement seems quite arbitrary and I don't know how to proceed. Do I just wait and see if I am in the 50% who survive or the recurrence group?

AFAtinib as first line treatment - 1294926

My husband was first diagnosed in 2014 with NSCLC . Stage1b with possible invasion of pleural lining. Rt upper lobe lobectomy 2014 with 3month of Chemo - Cisplatin and vinorelbin. Lymphs were negative. After surgery, again on a clinical trial of the use of anticoagulant after lung surgery, a clot was discovered.

6mm Growth in 3 Months - 1294918

Forums

Hi,
A CT scan has just shown a 6mm fissural nodule in my lung. Three months previous to this there was no nodule on a scan. Over the last 2 years I have had 4 scans which did not show this nodule, I am confident it is a new finding.
From what I know, 6mm would be too small to biopsy. It would seem that the standard is to rescan after a period of time. My concern is that zero to 6mm represents rapid growth and a 6 month, or even three month follow up might be inappropriate.
Is there any protocol for this type of scenario?

Hello! I am just seeking advice. In June 2015, I was told that I had a 4mm lung nodule on my URL. I had another scan in December 2015, with no changes. I had a third scan in October 2016 (different place) and was told that this module was now measuring 5mm. At that time, I went to see a pulmonologist for assistance. He had me rescan in May 2017 at the same place and it measured the same, 5mm. He told me that we could a final one in a year and if all is well, he would release me.

active surveillance of lung subsolid nodules (ggo's) reduces overtreatment - 1294898

Forums

Dr. West and other's here have made the point for a long time that lung cancers with ggo's (pure and mixed), or what some people called BAC in the past, is often over treated. The results of a long term study about this issue have been published, confirming this view.
